The surgical planning tool “ReoPlan” gives orthopedic surgeons the possibility to plan and simulate reorientation of the actetabulum. Our software brings the planning of this surgery to the 3D world giving surgeons a more versatile tool reducing time, costs and risks.

Our custom planning tool  “ReoPlan” for acetabular osteotomy provides an intuitive and easy to use planning solution which contains:

  1.  pre-operative assessment:
    – coverage of the femoral head
    – conventional coxometric measurements
    – evaluation of joint congruency and stability
  2. Simulation of pelvic re-orientation osteotomy (PAO) by applying virtual osteotomies and interfragmentary angulations and shifts
  3. Usability: Simple and intuitive user interface

At any point the coverage of the femur head can be computed providing quantitavive assesment of the femoral head coverage. The result is shown numerically and in form of a superposition map.

The surgeon can simulate the osteotomy and by rotating and translating the virtually created fragment test several configurations in silicio. Having obtained a satisfying plan the surgeon is then provided by a decomposition of the rotation which can be reproduced in surgery.

MOONoLith

Our transfer library MoonoLith provides extraordinary data transfer capabilities between unrelated meshes in parallel. With MoonoLith, simulation data between arbitrarily distributed and unrelated meshes can be exchanged on workstations, cluster, or supercomputers, leading to shorter simulation times and more flexibility in the choice of the simulation software.

Wear4U

Wear4U is a software tool which allows to perform Virtual Wear Testing where the simulated conditions are similar to wear-testing machines.

Load and displacement parameters follow ISO-14243-3: Implants for surgery — Wear of total knee-joint prostheses — Loading and displacement parameters for wear-testing machines with displacement control and corresponding environmental conditions for test

From mesh geometry and test specifications, Wear4U performs wear measurements in few days instead of months.
